Kevin-SavageKevin has been with mission FITNESS for a year and a half since joining in Dec. 2013 when he took his first bootcamp class taught by Matt Mund. In that class, Matt talked about goal setting and that he wanted each of them to write their goals down, not just keep a list in their head.

After that class, Kevin wrote down 10 goals for him to achieve in 2014 that included things he didn’t think were possible - by year-end, he had done them all! Thanks to his training at mission FITNESS, Kevin completed a Spartan Race, Triathlon and Half Marathon - all for the first time last year.

Kevin has an 8-year old daughter, Lauren, who is his pride and joy. You’ll often find him at one of her show choir or dance practices - she enjoys the arts and performed at The Bushnell last year. One of the things Kevin loves about being a dad is seeing Lauren on stage - she thrives when singing and dancing. Kevin and Lauren also like the beach, swimming and running laps together on the high school track - she is getting close to beating him!

Kevin is a Program Director in the Personal Lines insurance division at The Hartford, currently working on a project to implement new sales technology in their call centers.

Kevin has taken every class there is at mission FITNESS - his favorite is bootcamp and it is part of his weekly routine that consists of weights, running, yoga and spinning. This year, Kevin’s goal is to complete the Hartford Marathon Foundation Triple Half Challenge, running 3 Half Marathons - So far he has completed Middletown in April and Mystic in May.

Kevin looks forward to his time at mission FITNESS. The training staff have been outstanding and he appreciates the many great people he has meet in class. "While intimidating at first, the environment is welcoming, supportive, and motivating at mission. I couldn't have made the progress I have without the mission FITNESS family! Thank you all!"
